PRESCO ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Presco is committed to environmental management and protection for the environment throughout our leadership, planning, operational and procurement operations. We will plan and manage our activities in a manner that minimises effects on the environment.
Presco is a multi-disciplined company located in Taranaki, New Zealand with premises in Hawera, and New Plymouth. Products and Services include the supply of access and general equipment for hire, provision of industrial cleaning services and site care. This includes the Sales, Operations, Administration, Finance and Management processes for each division.
As a priority, we believe in the process of identifying, assessing, and controlling environmental aspects and impacts which may affect our people or the environment.
We are committed to:

- Communicating the Environmental Policy and Procedures to all relevant stakeholders, interested parties including employees and others working on our behalf

The overall responsibility for our environmental compliance rests with the Business Managers who have delegated responsibility for the implementation of relevant aspects of our Integrated Management System to the QHSE team, supervisors, and team leaders.
PRESCO ETHICAL AND RESPONSIBLE PEOPLE RESOURCING POLICY
Presco commits to ensure all workers within our management, operations and supply chains are recruited ethically and professionally and, that Presco provides protections that apply to all workers throughout their application, recruitment and subsequent employment or supply.
Successful recruitment requires good judgment and good faith from job candidates, and employers. These Principles provide guidance for each group to adhere to.

Ethical standards:
- No recruitment fees or related costs are paid by workers, and where evidence of fee-charging is discovered, workers are reimbursed
- Job offers are clear and accurate. All workers understand both the nature of work required and the terms and conditions related to the job
- All negotiations between employer and employee are undertaken with or authorised by the employee themselves
- The collection, storage and processing of workers’ personal data adheres to New Zealand law and the principles of confidentiality, proportionality, and necessity.
- No child labour is used – specified as anyone under the age of 15 or as per New Zealand law
- No persons under 18 are used in hazardous or heavy work except for the purposes of training within New Zealand law
- Workers have the legal eligibility to work in the country, region and job role, and for the client, they are recruited/supplied for.
- All workers are processed through the payroll system with correct country tax codes
- ‘Imposters’ and ‘hidden’ workers are blocked.
- Agency workers are employed/engaged in a formal and lawfully recognised relationship appropriate to their working arrangements and they are offered regular work.
- All agency workers are paid for all working time, on time, and in accordance with national law and their contract/assignment details form.
- All agency workers are engaged adhering to New Zealand employment or contracting laws
- Accommodation, if applicable to the assignment, is safe, hygienic, meets workers’ basic needs and accords with relevant legislation.
- Workers’ right to freedom of association is respected during their recruitment and supply.
- All workers receive fair and equal opportunity and treatment during their recruitment and supply.
- Workers are protected from mistreatment at work, including discrimination, harassment and bullying during their recruitment and supply.
- Workers’ conduct and capability issues are managed consistently, proportionately and in a timely, professional, and unbiased manner.
- Appropriate remedy is accessible to all workers during their recruitment and supply.
- Proactive steps are taken to reduce the risk of workers being subjected to forced labour, labour trafficking or other hidden third-party labour exploitation during their recruitment and supply, with an appropriate response should this be discovered.
Presco’s commitment:
- Presco recruitment, selection and assessment process will be based entirely on skills and competencies of the specific roles and appointments will be transparent and based entirely on merit.
